Bio

There are so many levels to each of us. Maybe it's impossible to discover them all. This doesn't mean, however, that we shouldn't try. For what we see in others, we see in ourselves. And what we take from others lives within us for all our days.

My levels are infinite. I am the friend. I am the jolly one. I am also the apocalypse and the mysticism. I am the poet, the listener, and the voyeur. I am strange, and I am normal for all of that. I am large, but I am a dot in the Cosmos. I am the ardent lover of flesh and philosophy, the middleman, the historian and the futurist. I am the visionary, the leader, and still one of the sheep. I am the voice, the hand, the heart, the soul. I am harmony.

In the slightly more mundane: I have no god, nor do I want one. I believe that age is a matter of mind. If you don't mind, it don't matter. I still call myself a writer even though getting an MFA almost screwed me up forever. I am forever trying to get my Kundalini to rise, most often through music. I'm a big fan of white russians and tequila sunrises. I'm a bigger fan of Midori sours, but they make me queasy. I've lost a lot of weight, but I'm slowly gaining some of it back. I don't understand people who shave off their eyebrows only to have them painted back on. I have a morbid sense of humor sometimes, or so people tell me. It's maddening that I'm such a slow reader. I will probably hate green beans forever. Cemeteries stir something in me (this includes pet cemeteries). I will watch just about any movie you put in front of me, but left to my own devices, I tend to watch my favorites over and over. I used to be a big huge computer gaming dork, back before most of them went all Doom and became more about killing things than solving things. (I *puffy heart* Sierra! Go go Space Quest!) I remember BBSes, and 28.8 modems, and GEnie, and Wordperfect 3.0. I still play games, but my time is limited, so I'm very picky. I ADORE karaoke because I never get enough chances to be the center of attention. I prefer to get things done, and I don't like physical or mental clutter. I'm only spontaneous when someone forces it on me, but I love it when someone is able to actually surprise me (it doesn't happen often). Sometimes I'm too Type A for my own good, and I really need to chill the fuck out.
